Dee AdamsArtist

Throughout her life, Dee has dipped in and out of photography.
When she was a young child her father gave her her first camera – a “Baby
Brownie”. He himself was a keen photographer and Dee remembers him
walking around with his external light meter taking readings and eventually the
photograph.

When she was at high school she used to convert one of the bathrooms at
home into a darkroom and spend until the early hours of the morning
developing her black and white photographs.

After school Dee qualified with a BSc degree in botany and zoology and then
worked at Londolozi Game Reserve with her husband. She was arguably the
first woman game ranger in South Africa and whilst taking guests out on safari
she took the odd wildlife shot. In those days of film, you had to wait weeks
before you could see the results! How radically the digital world has changed
that! She sold some of these images through stock libraries in the UK.
However, photography wasn’t fully fulfilling her creative needs and then she
came across an online digital art course that transformed her world!

“Turning my photo’s into pieces of art is what fires me up and gets me leaping out of bed each morning!”

Dee has had some of her work published in the internationally acclaimed
magazine “Living The Photo Artistic Life” and some of her art graces the walls
of lodges in Africa.

She has a deep love for Nature and the different animals that share the planet
with us. She hopes that her art will stir something in you and inspire you to
nurture and respect all living creatures and ecosystems.

“Thank you for visiting the website and hopefully you will find something here that you would like to live with! I hope you enjoy the digital art and pause long enough to see the incredible beauty in Nature and hear Her whisper a unique message to you!”
